What is “Leadership on Ski”?

 Bird Cage’s “Leadership on Ski” is an experiential coaching program that integrates executive leadership development with alpine skiing. Participants engage in real-time reflection, decision-making, and resilience-building through guided coaching on the slopes.

Who is this program designed for?

The program is intended for emerging and seasoned leaders who are navigating career transitions, seeking personal growth, or preparing for future leadership challenges. Participants should be open to experiential learning and direct feedback.

Skiing Requirements

Do I need to be an experienced skier?

Participants must be able to ski safely and confidently, with at least average ability (parallel turns, speed control, slope awareness). Advanced skiers may receive off-slope coaching; our coach is certified for such guidance.

Is physical fitness important?

Yes. Coaching sessions are physically and mentally demanding. Participants should be fit, well-rested, and prepared for full-day engagement.

Program Formats & Pricing

What coaching formats are available?
  • Personal Coaching: 1 or 2-day individual sessions
  • Team Coaching: 1–2 days for management teams (max. 5 participants)
  • Leadership Program: 2-day group experience with workshops and guest speakers
What are the program fees?
  • Personal Coaching: €2,995 (1 day), €5,450 (2 days)
  • Team Coaching: Starting at €1,995 per person/day (quote required)
  • Leadership Program: Custom pricing (quote required)
What’s included in the fee?

Coaching sessions, assessments, and preparatory calls. Travel, accommodation, meals, drinks, ski equipment, and lift passes are not included.

Preparation & Schedule

How should I prepare for the program?

Participants complete an online assessment and questionnaire prior to arrival. A personal or team call is scheduled to align goals and expectations.

What does a typical coaching day look like?

Each day runs from 08:00 to 20:00 and includes:

  • Breakfast and weather briefing
  • Morning and afternoon coaching sessions
  • Lunch and short breaks
  • Wrap-up and reflection

Where is the program held?

All coaching takes place in Mayrhofen, Austria — a renowned alpine destination offering 200km of slopes and off-piste terrain.

Yes. Mayrhofen offers a range of hotels, restaurants, and wellness facilities within walking distance of the slopes.

How do I get to Mayrhofen?
  • By car: Via the Inntal Autobahn (A12)
  • By train: Connect through Jenbach and take the Zillertalbahn
